About this clean-up:

Otters, not litter! Bassleton Beck near Stockton has fallen between the gap of two housing developments and instead of being a great resource for wildlife and the community; it is a neglected dumping-ground. With your support, we will work with young, local apprentices to clean up the beck and develop Riverlab areas where we will deliver sessions to local schools. We will also teach apprentices habitat management techniques, create path networks and help establish a Friends of Bassleton Beck group to maintain the site into the future. Cans, cartons and crisp bags will be replaced with marsh-marigold, minnows and mayflys.
