Everything we do and everything we stand for at Keep Britain Tidy can be summed up in a single phrase - Love Where You Live - and we want people, even in these difficult times to be able to share that love.

That is why, this week, we are launching our new online campaign - The #LoveWhereYouLive Challenge.

In the normal run of things, our supporters and volunteers show their love for their environment by picking up litter and caring for our shared spaces – our streets, parks, waterways and beaches.

A lot of activities that our followers and supporters do to protect and improve the environment are not possible but that doesn’t mean that we can’t all still love where we live and, more importantly, show that love.

Whether it’s keeping the area immediately outside our own front door tidy – imagine if everyone just did that one thing – making sure we don’t waste any food and getting creative with left-overs or upcycling something, even in lockdown we can all do some simple things that are good for us and good for the planet.

In the coming weeks, via our social media channels, we will be sharing some thoughts, ideas and suggestions, and even introducing you to some of the team at Keep Britain Tidy who will be taking us into their homes and letting us see just what they’re doing to love where they live and have fun at the same time.

We also want to see what all our followers and supporters are doing and share your ideas and top tips to help us all love where we live!
