UAE flies the flag for outstanding quality in parks

Eleven Green Flag Awards have been presented in the United Arab Emirate following assessments carried out by the Green Flag Award Judges Eddie Curry, Mark Tozer and Carina Gallacher accompanied by Scheme Manager Paul Todd.

This doubles the number of flags flying in the UAE and includes for the first time winners in Al Dhafra Region Municipality.

Green Flag Award Manager Paul Todd said:

"We are delighted to see the number of flags double in the UAE and the expansion of the programme to more Municipalities.  We congratulate everyone involved on the commitment to providing quality parks and gardens. We look forward to assessing many more sites in the years to come."
