Network Awards 2021 - Winners Announced!

Last night, the winners of the 2021 Keep Britain Tidy Network Awards were announced.

More than 400 people tuned in to see the winners unveiled at a virtual event to celebrate the very best achievement, innovations, individuals and teams who are making a difference to the environment on our doorstep through their work or volunteering.

The majority of awards were given to local authorities for their successes in tackling local environmental issues, with two going to #LitterHeroes, nominated by their councils, for their incredible efforts.

The award-winners were:

- Love Parks Award (sponsored by id verde) – Huntingdonshire District Council

- Excellence in Enforcement Award – Phillipa Jones (Wirral Council)

- Waste Performance of the Year Award – City of Westminster

- Community Engagement Award (sponsored by Amberol) – Walsall Community Litter Watch (Walsall Council)

- #LitterHeroes Award – Cornwall Council and Beach Guardians Rob and Emily Stevenson

- Great British Spring Clean Award (sponsored by Helping Hand Environmental) – Buckinghamshire Council

- Young #LitterHeroes Award (sponsored by bbits) – Litter Squad and Freyah Ryan (Hull City Council)

- Team or Crew of the Year Award (sponsored by Nordic) – Wigan Council

- Litter Initiative of the Year Award – Malvern Hills District Council

- Outstanding Service Delivery Award – London Borough of Redbridge

Commenting on the awards, Keep Britain Tidy Chief Executive Allison Ogden-Newton OBE said: “I would like to congratulate all tonight’s winners. In these extraordinary times, it is wonderful to see the unwavering commitment of these councils and individuals to improving the environment on our doorstep.”
