About this clean-up:

We want to harness local dissatisfaction with littering and turn it into positive action! Specifically, we want to remove unsightly litter from the town centre and riverside paths to improve the local environment and prevent plastics and other debris from entering the river and waterways and causing damage further afield, or from clogging drains which can cause localised flooding. As far as possible, we will sort debris into recyclable and non-recyclable waste and dispose of it accordingly.
