Monitoring Street Cleansing 

This one-day course provides delegates with the knowledge and practical skills to assess, grade, and monitor standards of local environmental quality. It delivers an overview of requirements set out in the Code of Practice on Litter and Refuse (COPLAR) and links this to monitoring, including references to NI195. The session includes classroom/theory training followed by a practical survey session (or a video-based session for virtual delivery).

Practical Surveying Refresher 

A half-day, practical variation of our full Monitoring Street Cleansing course. This training is ideal for those who have previously attended the one-day course or are experienced surveyors needing an update to validate the consistency and accuracy of their practical surveying skills. The focus is on identifying land uses and clearly understanding grading standards related to COPLAR.

Frontline Focus 

This popular half-day course aims to engage and empower frontline ‘street scene’ staff to be a strong face for the service and develop consistent standards. Delegates will learn to recognise the impact their roles have on public perception and satisfaction, differentiate between cleanliness standards in accordance with COPLAR (A–D grading levels), and identify issues that can be dealt with to improve local environmental quality.
