For those successful candidates that progress through to the interview stage, we already know we like what we’ve seen about your experience and skills, and we’ll be keen to learn more. We ask you if there are any adaptations or accommodations that you may need before the interview as we aim to nurture a diverse workforce, so encourage applicants to share any needs with us.
We use experience-based questions to learn about how you approach challenges and we’ll base these questions around the key elements of the role as specified in the job description. We make notes as we go so that we can objectively score the answers, so we apologise if we’re sometimes looking at our notes – we promise we are listening!
There will be two of us interviewing, so we always have more than one perspective. Sometimes, as well as an interview we may ask you to prepare a presentation or complete a task. We always tell you about these in advance if they form part of the process, and they will always be directly relevant to the role.
At the start of an interview we’ll introduce ourselves, lay out the structure of the interview and there will always be time for you to ask us questions at the end.
