Dog Fouling

Dog mess is an emotive issue and one of the most unacceptable and offensive types of litter on our streets. Our research shows dog fouling is the issue the public are most concerned about.

We want to see dog fouling all but eradicated by 2030.

We want local authorities to maintain an effective enforcement service and make full use of current controls, such as PSPOs, to ensure that dogs and dog waste are effectively controlled.

Training your workforce in dog issues, enforcement and the law will give them the knowledge, skills and confidence to tackle the issue on the ground.

We can work with your local authority to talk you through our innovative interventions that will help to tackle dog fouling in your communities, as well as bespoke training packages to keep your staff equipped and up to date with the latest legislation and measures.

We use a mixed-methods approach and have over 20 years of experience of delivering  the highest quality research. We are members of the Market Research Society and the Social Research Association.

Whatever some people may believe, there’s no such thing as the dog poo fairy. This light-hearted campaign packs an important message. So get your dog owners to bag that poo - any rubbish bin will do. Together let’s put an end to this offensive, harmful litter.

Dog Poo Fairy

We know people are less likely to pick up after their dogs when they feel they aren’t being watched and dog-fouling increases as the nights draw in.

That’s why we created our award-winning We’re Watching You campaign. Our innovative, eye-catching, glow in the dark signs help to remind thoughtless dog owners that “we’re watching you” and have reduced dog fouling by up to 46%.

Glow in the dark sign

Our campaign to tackle the ever present issue of dog fouling, features dogs as messengers, leveraging the levers of both pride and shame to remind owners to pick up their poop!

This is a social media focussed campaign, which features two pet dogs, Ben the Boxer and Sarah the Spaniel , who remind dog owners of the need to clean up their poop. The videos will appeal to dog lovers as they themselves ponder what their dog would say if they too could talk!
