Their support helped our drive to recruit an army of Litter Heroes Ambassadors to tackle the blight of litter across the country all year round. There are now more than 250 ambassadors on the programme, driving action in their communities and inspiring others with their efforts.
The money has also supported our flagship Great British Spring Clean campaign since 2017, helping us to recruit hundreds of thousands of Litter Heroes who, over the past decade, have cleaned more than three million bags of litter from all across the country.
Making a difference
Their flexible funding has enabled us to undertake research into litter, fly-tipping and waste and to improve how we work as a charity to make us more effective.
They have helped us develop and grow our Eco-Schools programme so that, today, more than a million children and young people attend an Eco-School and can learn how they too can make a difference and reduce their impact on the environment.
