Keep It Bin It

Keep It Bin It is our national anti- litter campaign. It was developed in 2019 by Keep Britain Tidy and Defra, and has been supported by a number of organisations and businesses dedicated to tackling litter.

From September 2021, thanks to the support of Mars Wrigley, Keep Britain Tidy is making the campaign available to local authorities and landowners and managers, for local use.

The 2021 Keep It Bin It artwork resources are available to download here, and comprise digital artwork files for:
-    A4 and A3 posters
-    Vinyl banners
-    Bin stickers
-    Social media assets.

To download your free pack, click here.

The resources pack can be downloaded and used on digital channels, or to print your own assets to be displayed locally.

These resources are designed for use of local authorities and landowners. You may add your organisational logo to the artwork, to the left of the Keep It Bin It image on the footer. Please ensure your logo is on an opaque background, not a white box. If you are a business (rather than a public organisation or body) and you wish to display these assets, please email enquiries@keepbritaintidy.org for permission.

The campaign will also appear on bus stops and billboards across England during September, thanks to our partner Clear Channel.

About the campaign

The campaign was developed to target 18-24 year olds, with the aim of shifting acceptance of dropping litter if there are no bins or if the bins are full.

The campaign ran in 2019 and again in 2020, and has demonstrated it is effective in its aim;

  • 34% recall of ‘Keep it, Bin it’, 17% of campaign visuals**
  • The campaign showed a 6% drop in acceptability of littering, in the scenario where there are no rubbish bins nearby, among 18-24 year olds.

This campaign is made possible thanks to the support of Mars Wrigley.
