About this clean-up:

‘Flotsam & Jetsam’ is an event that involves collecting rubbish around Hall Place in Bexley. We will be tidying up the fields outside of Hall Place in the morning and then returning to the Visitors Centre to discuss and look at what we have collected and then make a display. The event has been postponed. We will be tidying up around the surrounding fields and football pitches. We will be collecting near but not in the small adjacent river and then afterwards at around 12 noon we will return to the Visitors Centre to inspect what we have collected. Here participants can explore object enquiry through a workshop looking at unravelling the stories behind people who have discarded the litter. This workshop will involve creating a visual display which will be placed in Hall Place foyer for the duration of several weeks as a mounted exhibition piece. The workshop will remain open as a drop-in up until 3pm. This activity is sponsored by Hall Place via Bexley Council and is run through Centrepeices Arts Group, it forms part of ‘Twelve’ a series of arts funded projects situated in Hall Place.
