Parks matter to us all - let's all help protect them

Parks matter to us all - we use them, we love them and now we all need to get involved in protecting them.

With an estimated 2.6 billion park visitors each year, we know how much parks matter to people. But parks need funds to protect and improve them, and with shrinking budgets, many parks are having their budgets cut.

To make matters worse, the Heritage Lottery Fund want to abandon their hugely successful Parks for People programme that invested millions of people's lottery money into improving parks and local facilities for everyone. But it's not too late to help them change their mind.

If you think parks are too important to have this funding cut, can you please spare a few minutes to help protect them?

But you'll need to act fast, all responses need to be in by Thursday 22 March.

Thank you.
