What do animals in bottles and balloons in the oceans have in common?

These, and others, are all issues being discussed in the new edition of our Journal of Litter and Environmental Quality – published today and freely available to download from our website.

Litter is a worldwide issue, so it’s no surprise that our journal, since launching last year, has had worldwide interest. As the readership of our journal – the first peer-reviewed publication focusing on these issues – grows, we are excited to share this next issue.

It features articles and case studies from the country’s leading academics, as well as on-the-ground practitioners including local authorities, volunteers and campaigners.

Our Chief Executive, Allison Ogden-Newton said:

“With environmental issues never far from the headlines, the depth and breadth of research in the journal is an opportunity for Keep Britain Tidy, and everyone interested in improving the environment, to set a standard in the study of litter, increase our collective understanding of environmental issues and develop effective solutions.”

We are looking for new submissions for our next issue, so please download the call for papers if you are interested, or contact us if you are interested in peer reviewing.
