Suzy began as a journalist and broadcaster and has been a director of the Talent Foundation, Focus Central London Training and Enterprise Council, Library Services UK and Morley Books.

It was as CEO of the Earth Centre in South Yorkshire that Suzy developed an understanding of sustainable development, a core value for Keep Britain Tidy.

She was awarded an OBE for Public Service in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.

In Suzy's own words, “Keep Britain Tidy has a great diversity of skills and experience to ensure our strategy sets us at the centre of improving our environment. We encourage citizens to love where they live through volunteering and positive action which is not only good for the environment but for our physical and mental health too. After years of serving many sectors I recognise how all aspects of our life can work together - good health, great housing, eco-education and safe green spaces – working hand in hand with the work of Keep Britain Tidy for us all to have happier and improved lives.”
