About this clean-up:

Grosvenor and Hilbert Park is a much used and valued local park - the oldest public park in Tunbridge Wells, dating back to 1889. The Friends of Grosvenor and Hilbert wish to see the park kept clean and welcoming for visitors. The Spring Clean Litter Pick is an opportunity for volunteers to supplement the regular work of the Tunbridge Wells Borough Council's contractors. The Friends Group participated in this event in 2017, and we plan to do so in 2018 - hoping to make the event even bigger and better. Equipment (litter picking sticks and rubbish disposal sacks) will be provided for volunteers. As last year, we will aim to concentrate our litter pick on parts of the park that may not often be included in the contractor's usual cleaning rounds - such as the woodland areas, the base of hedges, and in the shrubberies. Please bring suitable clothing and stout footwear. Children are welcome to participate if accompanied by a responsible adult. Briefing at the start of the event will take place in the Hub (the room facing out onto the bowling green.)
