Keep Britain Tidy shines in the Resource Hot 100 07 March 2017

Keep Britain Tidy’s growing influence in the waste and resource field has been recognised in Resource magazine’s annual Hot 100 poll, with one staff member and a team of volunteers appearing in the list of those that have played ‘a starring role in the industry in 2016’. The poll is voted for by members of the waste and resource industry, as well as anyone else with a keen interest in the world of resources.

Our Waste Services Manager, Dr. Anna Scott was number 21 in the poll, up from number 82 in 2015. One voter said that “Anna and her team are to be found wherever a local authority is most active in trying to change waste behaviour”. This is the third time that Anna has featured in the poll, having also made the Hot 100 in 2013.

The Cheshire Waste Reduction Volunteers were at number 46, up from number 100 in 2015. These volunteers are a group of Cheshire residents who encourage others to waste less at home by promoting home composting and food waste reduction. One voter said that the volunteers “are passionate about the waste reduction message and they engage superbly with residents”.

Congratulations to Anna and all the Cheshire Waste Reduction Volunteers!
