Event for local authorities: Using behavioural insights to tackle fly-tipping

**These events have now been held, thank you to those that attended. We will be planning similar events in the future.**

Since launching our Fly-tipping Action Plan in 2016, we have completed a number of research projects that have explored in-depth the behavioural drivers of fly-tipping by households and local businesses. Through this, we have gained a series of insights that we believe will improve waste disposal behaviours, and now we are holding two events - in both London and Manchester - to share our insights with local authorities.

At these upcoming events we will not only share the findings and insights from our research but also our recommendations for discouraging fly-tipping. Delegates will have the opportunity to participate in a robust discussion and provide feedback, which we will then use to help develop new solutions to fly-tipping.

There are two parts to the events, a day event and an elected members (councillors) only event.

The day event is open to all organisations that have an interest in tackling fly-tipping, for example local authorities, housing associations, charities and businesses that have an interest in litter and waste management. We particularly encourage heads of services, communications personnel, policy makers and practitioners to attend.
