Summer edition of our e-magazine is out – and it’s now for students!

The Summer issue of the Pod and Eco-Schools England joint e-magazine is available to read now! What’s more, following feedback from teachers, the ezine has a brand new format and is written exclusively for students.

The magazine is filled with facts, tips and activities for learning about the environment, as well as case studies from other schools eco-work. We hope this interactive magazine will engage and enthuse students, both in and out of the Eco-Committee, about a range of environmental topics.

We haven’t forgotten about teachers though – there’s a special teachers section at the back of the ezine which contains key environmental event dates for the autumn term as well as tips and advice on running the Pod's activities and resources. The pages are a must see for Eco-Coordinators and Eco-Committees planning next years Action Plan.

Within the summer ezine you'll find:

• The Great Outdoors: Find out what other schools are doing to make the planet a greener place and learn more about saving water. There are some great activities too that will make the long summer holidays a lot less boring!
   
• Quick Activities: Be a Sun Power Ranger and find out how solar thermal energy works in our new experiment, have fun drawing bugs or play the Pod version of the classic dice game, Beetle!.
   
• Meet Busta: In this first edition we also introduce younger students to the latest friend of the Pod - Captain Busta! from Wastebuster; children can watch his video, sing his song and be in with a chance of winning Top Trump cards in our competition
   
• Lots of new quick activities, details of exclusive discounts and freebies, and much more!
