LED lights the way to a brighter future

Eco-Schools that switch their lighting to LED can be up to 80% more efficient than their existing school lights with the latest Eco-Schools Energy programme, launched this week.

The programme, which has no capital up-front costs, will see schools cut their existing electricity costs in the medium term and depending on their size, they could save upwards of 100 tonnes of carbon dioxide a year from day one.

This is the first of a series of energy conservation initiatives that will be launched from the newly created Eco-Schools Energy, a joint venture between Eco-Schools and Winch Energy.
