How does it work?
If you are a primary or secondary teacher here’s an opportunity to work with your community and to discover new ways to continue on your journey to becoming more sustainable in what you teach and what you do with Eco-Schools.
Love Where You Live is all about reducing litter and building or changing behaviours and attitudes towards littering. Our lessons encourage empowerment, personal responsibility and community ownership. The campaign encourages all groups of society – public, private and community sectors – to work together. Join us and discover how your school and students will benefit.

We have linked all our ideas with areas of the national curriculum at primary and with subject areas at secondary level so they can be adapted to suit teaching styles. We have also linked them to the Eco-Schools Awards.
All of our lesson ideas have been designed to help with specific curriculum areas. To help illustrate this, we've put together some curriculum grids to show you how these lessons work with the national curriculum and with subject areas:
Curriculum grid age 5-7
Curriculum grid age 7-11
Curriculum grid age 11-14
Curriculum grid age 14+
Linking environmental topics to the curriculum is an integral part of the Eco-Schools award framework. To find out which of the Eco-Schools 9 topics the lesson ideas fit in with visit the links below:
