Clear Up Day a huge success 23 March 2015

The first ever Community Clear Up Day took place this weekend, to celebrate the start of Spring. Communities around the country came together and organised clear up days on Friday 20 and Saturday 2 1 March.

Community groups, friends, neighbours, litter clean-up groups, local businesses and schools all got involved, with hundreds and hundreds of bags of litter being collected from streets, parks, green spaces and beaches.

Community Clear Up Day is the first 'national spring clean', backed by the Government, which aimed to spruce up the country's high streets, residential and business areas, villages and parks.

If you would like to organise another litter pick and tidy up, please visit our Big Tidy Up website where you can register your event and order a Big Tidy Up pack.

If you would like to share your Clear Up Day photos with us, please email them to clare.northall@keepbritaintidy.org

Thank you for coming together and celebrating spring by helping to make our public spaces litter free.
