We will endeavour, however, to ensure that reports are only made against genuine cases of car littering. Litter reports constitute deposits made from a car.
Keep Britain Tidy will not pass on the details of anyone making a litter report to any third parties, or use the reporter’s name in any way.
Additional information provided at the time of the report may be used for market research and marketing purposes.
We will be writing to those drivers that we have contact details for and informing them that car littering is illegal and that the majority of people in this country will no longer accept it.
Unfortunately, due to data protection laws we are unable to write to every person who has been reported for car littering. We will, however, record all reports and use these figures to highlight the extent of this problem and use these figures to call for tougher penalties for those caught littering from their car.
