New Eco-Schools Training – Going for Green Flag!
20 October 2010

Following the success of our Eco-School training courses we have decided to introduce a new course aimed at helping schools achieve the highest eco accolade; the Green Flag.
The new academic year saw the introduction of changes to the Eco-Schools award criteria and green flag application process, so there’s no better time to attend training to brush up your knowledge before ‘Going for Green Flag’.
This new half-day course, hosted by Colchester Borough Council and run by Keep Britain Tidy, offers an excellent opportunity for Eco-Schools that have achieved the silver award to equip themselves with the knowledge and confidence required to prepare for their first green flag application and assessment. Delegates who are experienced in the Eco-Schools programme but have not yet considered the award scheme may also benefit from learning about award criteria and the green flag assessment process.
The event takes place on the 2nd November from 12.00pm to 4.00pm (half day) in Colchester town centre.
The event is open to all Eco-schools.
£115+VAT per place, including lunch and refreshments (provided on arrival).
Places are limited for this Colchester-based course, so book now to avoid disappointment. To book your place, please complete and return this booking form.
This training course is aimed primarily at teachers, and as such is advertised as a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunity on the Training & Development Agency’s National Database of CPD. However, non-teaching staff with an involvement in the Eco-Schools programme will also find this course beneficial.
“I now know how to apply for and what to do to achieve Green Flag.”
“This will make my job of taking the college to Green Flag significantly easier.”
“I feel very prepared to go back, share this learning and move the school forward.”
