Green minded teenagers were the focus of a recent episode of Costing the Earth that aired on Radio 4 recently.
The ‘Greening the Teens’ programme examined how young adults felt about green issues ranging from global warming to saving vital resources such as water.
Keen pupils from The Skinners’ School in Kent represented the Eco-Schools programme and were brave enough to be interviewed by the presenter, answering questions about why being environmentally conscious is important for young people and how it can be cool!
Mark Moody, the school's Eco Co-ordinator said: “Over email people were saying how they enjoyed hearing the pupils speak so positively about how they contribute towards the schools green projects.
“We have had a really good sustainable ethos at the school for many years now and there won't be anyone in the school who doesn't know what we are about. It's not just teaching staff and pupils either, but governors, technicians, office staff and ground staff who are all on-board - that's been one of the features that has made Skinners' special.”
