Keep Britain Tidy Christmas Card Competition

11 October 2010

Are you dreaming of a green Christmas? Show us what Keep Britain Tidy means to you this festive season by designing the Keep Britain Tidy Christmas card!

Helping us to spread our yuletide message far and wide, the winning picture will be transformed into our 2010 Christmas e-card which will then be emailed out to all our thousands of friends and supporters up and down the country!

Open to all ages, we’re looking for eye-catching entries which cleverly combine fun and festivity along with an environmental theme. Our Keep Britain Tidy logo (click here) should be depicted somewhere in your picture and all entries should be on one side of A4 paper in a landscape format, and submitted by post.

Please remember to clearly label on the back of your entry, your name, address, telephone number and age.

Please note that unfortunately we are unable to return any entries sent to us. Closing date for entries is Monday 22nd November, 2010.

So what are you waiting for, fast forward to Christmas, get creative and help Keep Britain Tidy!

We only received this e-mail from our local eco schools co-ordinator last week and we are on a 2 days week this week due to inset days. It is just a bit of fun for us and all the children really enjoyed throwing around rhymes and slogans, it was a fun way of talking about how we might reduce our waste over the festivities -perhaps the children's entries are not as polished as they might have been had we had more notice but they had FUN! Thank you for the opportunity for a bit of freedom and creativity! We are also sending our entries from Perth in Scotland so we hope they arrive in time!

Hi All, Apologies again with the issues surrounding time frames. We can't extend the deadline any later as the card wouldn't be printed in time for Christmas but we will make sure if we run this competition again next year we launch it earlier. As for electronic entries, in light of your comments we have set up an email address for you to send them to. This info will be added to the story now. Email entries to christmas.card@keepbritaintidy.org. Thanks!

Hi. i agree with all the comments about short notice. We received notice via an Eco Schools Nov news update so only knew about it last Wed. So unfortunately we probably won't have time to get entries and send them. Also the commnets about sending entries electronically is very true too.
