Landlords given top tips for tackling litter at our latest housing event
26 May 2010

Keep Britain Tidy’s latest housing event took place at The Midland Hotel in Manchester.
Focussing on the new Tenant Services Authority (TSA) standards and how housing providers improve environments within their neighbourhoods, the seminar was a resounding success with over 60 delegates attending.
Main stage speakers included the Tenant Services Authority (TSA), Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS), Keep Britain Tidy’s Head of Market Research Jo Butcher and a range of practitioners who are working to improve their environments on a day to day basis.
Delegates learned of the new national ‘Neighbourhood and Community’ standard that social landlords are expected to meet, and which Keep Britain Tidy has helped to develop.
There was also vocal support from the TSA for the Neighbourhood Quality Mark run by Keep Britain Tidy.
A highlight of the event was hearing from staff and residents of Bristol Community Housing Foundation about how they have made a difference to their neighbourhood by working together, and using the Quality Mark. For more information on their efforts, click here.
Housing events are usually held twice each year and focus on key issues for landlords. These are highly valued by providers and enable Keep Britain Tidy to engage with a wider housing audience, as well as getting our message across to key decision makers. Some past delegates are now working with Keep Britain Tidy on Neighbourhood Agreements, Cleaner, Safer, Greener Quality Mark applications, and as Big Tidy Up supporters.
