Celebrating excellence - award winners announced

Local authorities, housing associations, community activities and councillors are celebrating their success in the 2012 Keep Britain Tidy Network Awards, which took place at the Aston Villa Football Club in Birmingham on 13 March.
The Keep Britain Tidy Network Awards are held annually to recognise and reward excellence and innovation in improving local environmental quality.

BBC TV reporter and journalist Justin Rowlatt hosted the awards, which were announced at a well-attended dinner. Phil Barton, chief executive of Keep Britain Tidy said: “All of this year’s winners are an inspiration and highlight and celebrate the fantastic work and dedication involved in delivering continuous improvement across the country. As always, the competition was tough so our winners can be proud of their achievement.”
