Green Flag Award Scheme supporting Love Parks Week

This year’s Love Parks Week, organised by parks charity GreenSpace and supported by Green Flag, will take place between Saturday 24 July and Sunday 1 August. This celebration of our country's plentiful parks and green spaces, coincides with the national announcement of 2010's Green Flag Awarded sites (28 July).

Throughout Love Parks Week there will be scheduled events in numerous Green Flag parks and green spaces, providing a wide range of fun activities for all of the community. Events registered so far range from festivals, family fun days and concerts, to dog shows, poetry readings, health walks and play days.

The Love Parks Week national campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of Britain’s parks and green spaces and the central role that parks play in communities across the country.
