Vote BTCV

25 January 2010

Trail magazine and Country Walking magazine is running a competition on its website (www.livefortheoutdoors.com) in which readers can vote for which outdoor project gets a share of 30,000 Euros.

There are six projects, one of which has been submitted from BTCV, one of the Green Flag Award partners. All the projects are highlighted on the website and from today (January 25th) you can vote for which you think most deserves the money from the EOG Association for Conservation.

The proposal from BTCV is in conjunction with Friends of the Lake District and will aim to improve some of the traditional elements of The Lake District’s landscape by rebuilding derelict stone walls; upgrading recreational access and reinvigorating hedgerows.  This work will make a significant difference to the countryside and will improve people’s lives in the area.
