About this park/green space
Hare Hill is a traditional Victorian park, housing the towns’ library and retaining many original park features such as the bandstand. It also provides facilities to enable visitors to enjoy a wide range of leisure and sporting activities such as bowls and skateboarding. It is located at the gateway to the Pennines serving the community of Littleborough, and is regarded as the “Jewel in the crown” of parks in the area.
The Friends of Hare Hill Park, with support from Rochdale Council, have been instrumental in returning the park to its former glory and have attracted over £250,000 for its restoration. There are now ambitious plans restore the water wheel and to create a new sensory garden area in the park.
