Flycapture Enforcement Training is a national training programme developed by Defra, The Environment Agency and The Welsh Assembly Government to assist local authorities to deal with the ongoing problem of waste crime and fly-tipping.

Aim
To enable learners to implement performance management cycles to aid good enforcement policy and practice and to raise the profile of fly-tipping enforcement and prevention

Objectives
By the end of the course learners will:
• Review and critically analyse enforcement policy and procedure;
• Identify and prioritise resource needs;
• Develop innovative approaches to accessing resources that consider working in partnership with others;
• Identify good practice principles for developing and maintaining relations with a range of media;
• Consider responsibilities in relation to the health and safety of self, and others, particularly in handling hazardous waste.

Who would benefit?
Those with a responsibility for managing the enforcement process such as Enforcement Managers and Senior Officers.

All delegates will receive a comprehensive manual which will be an excellent reference tool when back at the work place.

Evaluation
By ongoing assessment and given tasks throughout the course

Entry level
To have attended Stage 1a and Stages 1b or to be an existing enforcement manager dealing with fly-tipping enforcement within a local authority environment.

Accreditation
This course has been accredited by the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management and awarded 14 continuous professional development points.

The Flycapture curriculum is designed as a linked set, but delegates can book onto individual 2 day courses dependent on needs

Costs
The cost to attend this 2 day regional training course was previously £550+VAT per delegate, and is now available at the reduced rate of £350+VAT per delegate.

Host
Why not host an event? As a host you would need to provide a suitable room, refreshments (including lunch) and resources i.e. projector, flip chart. In exchange you will receive one free place on each course hosted.

All hosted courses will be promoted by Keep Britain Tidy and you will not be required to fill the course.

Bespoke
If you would like to train up a few of your staff why not hold a bespoke event at your venue? Bespoke training allows specific generic issues to be discussed and enables a maximum of 15 delegates to be trained per course.

The cost to hold a 2 day bespoke training course is £4,500+VAT
