Driving improvements in our neighbourhoods
Our Keep Britain Tidy Neighbourhood Quality Mark offers housing providers a structure to drive improvements in specified neighbourhoods and also recognises their cleaner, safer, greener achievements at a national level.
It is the first of its kind in the country and will be an effective partnership tool for housing providers who want to lead the way in environmental issues and build better neighbourhoods for their tenants and residents.
About the Quality Mark
Our Quality Mark provides a structure to work towards providing better quality neighbourhoods. It demonstrates quality of service to stakeholders, partners and neighbourhoods, helping to build credibility and opportunities for funding support. It can also be used as a tool to promote innovation and good practice amongst peers.
It offers housing providers the opportunity to review current practices against a recognised benchmark, helping bring about improvements.
A key benefit of the Quality Mark however, is that it supports and strengthens tenant and resident engagement.

Accreditation for social housing providers
We have teamed up with the housing sector specialist HouseMark to promote accreditation services to social housing providers. Our Quality Mark has seen over 50 neighbourhoods register for accreditation, with more signing up each week. The Quality Mark, which has recently received a Homes and Communities Agency seal of approval, is complementary to HouseMark's Anti Social Behaviour accreditation service.
HouseMark's service enables landlords to demonstrate to their tenants, partners and the regulator how they are responding to anti-social behaviour (ASB) - one of tenants' key concerns. They are offering a 10% discount to social housing providers that sign up to both the ASB accreditation service and our Quality Mark. Find out more about HouseMark's ASB service and to claim your discount.
