Cleaner, greener, safer neighbourhoods
Our Keep Britain Tidy Neighbourhood Charter is a voluntary agreement which sets out the mutual rights, responsibilities and expectations between residents, social landlords and other service providers for creating a safe, clean and green neighbourhood.
Charters can prove an effective tool in many different settings, from small estates of a hundred properties or more, to whole towns or districts.
Keep Britain Tidy has substantial experience in negotiating and agreeing Neighbourhood Charters and is currently working on these with a range of clients within the housing sector.
What we do
Here at Keep Britain Tidy we can provide you with independent facilitation to compose a Neighbourhood Charter, which aims to achieve the set objectives and is in line with known targets.
This work can be broken down into the following:
• Desktop research
• Focus groups held with residents and an invitation to all other local residents to ‘have their say’ to establish local residents’ vision for their neighbourhood
• Delivery of workshops for service providers to establish high-level partner engagement from which all the service delivery information will be shared
• Collection, analysis and formatting of service delivery information
• Production of text for both full charter document, and for a flyer that can be delivered to all properties in the neighbourhood
• Promotion of this work through our regional and national literature, seminars and conferences
