Going Further
To support the Street Champions Framework Keep Britain Tidy and Neighbourhoods NW run a range of courses about the framework and working in neighbourhoods.
Keep Britain Tidy offers two training options based on the Street Champion Framework:
• A half day Academy, Introducing Street Champion Schemes, which gives an overview of the Street Champion Framework for those with little or no prior knowledge of the subject
• A two-day masterclass, How to Run a Street Champion Scheme, which covers each of the segments of the Street Champion Framework in significant detail, giving delegates all the knowledge they require to set up a scheme in their local area
Neighbourhoods NW offers a five day, NCFE Level 2 accredited programme, Working in Neighbourhoods, which equips delegates with key skills for working in local communities. The programme covers the subjects that have been identified as vital to anyone who works, operates or lives in a neighbourhood and includes partnership working, organisational skills and community engagement. Course delegates can range from officers, community members, active residents, front-line workers and elected members.
