Supporting You To Take Action

Through the North West Liveability Foundation programme, Keep Britain Tidy can assist you in making improvements to your local area. Here are some of the opportunities available:

Action planning
Action plans will be developed to interpret the Local Environmental Quality Survey and perception study data to examine how resources can be reallocated to hotspot areas to increase efficiencies and improve local environmental quality. The process will be facilitated by Keep Britain Tidy with each partner’s representatives

The action plan will examine what other support and partnerships will be suitable to improve the issues identified. It also looks at setting a clear and measurable timetable of action with various partners. This action plan can be revisited through the year by partners, measuring progress against agreed milestones, as well as acting as a year on year benchmark.

Annual face-to-face meeting with a Keep Britain Tidy Director
Partners will have the opportunity to discuss the overall progress with a relevant Keep Britain Tidy Director and to ask specific questions relating to improving local environmental quality across the wider neighbourhood. It’s also an opportunity for partners to discuss how some of the learning and experiences gained through the Liveability Foundation can be best replicated, within a specific borough or district. For example, one partner area could support another partner in driving up standards in cleaner, safer, greener issues.

Opportunity to work alongside the Regional Strategic Group
The North West Liveability Foundation is seeking strategic regional organisations to form a Regional Strategic Group. Along with members from the sub-regional groups of the North West Liveability Foundation, this group will oversee the performance of the programme, increase the profile of the programme and provide the opportunity for partnerships to be developed.

Access to additional flexible options
Other (costed) pick and mix options can be utilised by members as they wish. Some of these additional elements may be developed by the North West Liveability Foundation as the programme develops over the three years.

These options include, but are not limited to:

  • Training
  • Tailored campaigns
  • Bespoke technical support
  • Health checks
  • Neighbourhood Charters
  • Service reviews
