Perception Study

Standards and perceptions

Each partner will receive two bespoke market research studies aimed at analysing the perceptions of residents or users of an area selected by the partner. The objectives of each study and the local needs of each area will be different, therefore the approach and methodology will differ. Each will involve assessing perceptions to enable more effective targeting of services or communications.

The initial study completed in year one will be repeated in year three to allow change to be measured over time. Keep Britain Tidy's skilled and experienced market research team will work closely with each partner on an individual basis to define the objectives of the research and assess the most appropriate methodology to use. Along with the Local Environmental Quality Survey, this will provide the full picture of performance by comparing actual standards with perceptions and analyse the gaps.

Each member will also receive a one-to-one meeting with Keep Britain Tidy to go through the results of each study and assess the most effective way to use the results. (The area studied will be the same as that identified for the Local Environmental Quality Survey.)
