The principal aim of the Keep Britain Tidy Network - For Housing is to assist land managers to improve performance in managing the local environment and maintaining quality neighbouhoods. This is achieved through the delivery of an interactive framework of professional advice, practical tools and learning opportunities as well as the chance to network with other land managers.
Maintaining neighbourhoods that are safe and clean underpins any effective antisocial behaviour strategy. Low level nuisance left unchecked can escalate into more serious behaviour and damage a community's sense of well-being and quality of life.
What does the network offer?
-
Web based modules - quick and efficient to use with a user friendly flow chart - simply find the solution to your problem in 3 clicks. Starting with litter and waste, the module contains numerous case studies with good practice examples of community and resident engagement and empowerment, over 25 sources of legislation with 14 related tenancy procedure charts. Modules will be kept up to date to reflect new case studies and hot topics and trends. Future topics will include animal control, graffiti and criminal damage, fly-tipping and managing open spaces. For sample extracts of one of these modules please click here.
